New Extension

We are pleased to announce we have received planning permission to extend our surgery.  The new extension will almost double the size of our current surgery, enabling us to offer a more extensive service.

• Anticipated build start Aug 2010
• Estimated completion April 2011

The new extension will provide additional space for better facilities and more medical services for the patients of Peaseway Medical Centre and also the whole population of Newton Aycliffe.

It would be our intention to make available much needed health related services locally, on one site in the heart of the town.

It is hoped to include "out reach" services which may be provided by hospitals in a more convenient location thus removing some of the need to travel to other towns or hospitals.

As an example these might include diagnostic services such as x-ray and ultra sound, minor injury clinics, pre and post operation appointments and facilities which will allow specialists to undertake their work from the surgery.

The GP Partners invite your comments and suggestions. In particular, any new services which are not currently available in Newton Aycliffe which you feel could be - and should be -  provided here.
